Heidi Farina is a full-time fine artist based out of Seattle, WA. Her work centers around the varied landscapes of Washington state, primarily depicted in an acrylic painting techniques that marries key principles from her previous work in oil and watercolor paints.
She majored in Fine Art and Ecological Genetics at the University of Wyoming. While, she decided to pursue a career in science for 15 years, her research and corporate career put her routinely in remote mountain terrain for research and traveling the state of Washington, which she now paints. In December 2022, she resigned from her science career to run her art business full-time out of her home studio.
She hopes to evoke the magic of Pacific Northwest landscapes with this her work, from the misty gray days to the stunning sunsets that bounce off of the sea and glacier capped mountains, alike.
You can find Heidi painting in her studio most days and raising her 3 year old daughter with her husband of 17 years. She is represented by 5 galleries across the state, including Smith and Vallee and Gray Sky, as well as runs her business directly with insights into her process on social media, Heidi Farina Art on Instagram.
In her free time you can find her snowboarding, sea kayaking, trail running, and playing adult league hockey to find additional inspiration for her work.
